SAFETY & USE NOTICE

Welcome to Kindred Keeps Co LLC (“Kindred Keeps Co,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We want every customer to have a safe and enjoyable experience with our products. The following Safety & Use Notice outlines important information regarding the safe handling, charging, and operation of the Kindred Orb and any other electronic items sold through our store.

By purchasing or using our products, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Safety & Use Notice and agree to follow all usage and safety instructions. This notice forms part of our Terms of Service and is incorporated by reference into our Refund Policy and Shipping Policy. If you do not agree to this notice or cannot follow the safety requirements described herein, do not use or purchase our products.

1. GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION

All Kindred Keeps Co products should be used responsibly and only for their intended purpose. The Kindred Orb contains electronic components and a rechargeable lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery. Improper use may result in product damage, overheating, or risk of fire.

Failure to follow the instructions below may result in serious injury or death, damage to property, or voided eligibility for replacement or refund under our policies.

2. POWER AND CHARGING

a. Use only the USB-C charging cable included with your product.
b. Connect the charging cable to a standard 5V/1–2A power adapter. Do not use fast chargers, power strips, or adapters exceeding the recommended rating.
c. Charge the product on a hard, flat, non-flammable surface. Do not charge on fabric, bedding, carpet, or any soft surface.
d. Do not charge the product unattended, overnight, or near flammable materials.
e. Disconnect the product immediately if you observe excessive heat, smoke, swelling, or unusual odor.
f. Do not attempt to modify, open, or repair the product or its components.

3. PLACEMENT AND ENVIRONMENT

a. Never place the Kindred Orb on or near a Christmas tree, wreath, garland, paper décor, fabric, carpet, or any other flammable or heat-sensitive surface.
b. Do not use or charge the product near open flames, candles, stoves, or other heat sources.
c. Do not operate the product in wet or humid environments or outdoors.
d. Keep the product away from water, rain, and liquids of any kind.
e. Keep the product away from pets and children. The Kindred Orb is not a toy and should only be handled by adults or under adult supervision.

4. OPERATION

a. Operate the Kindred Orb only as intended and in accordance with any included instructions.
b. Do not use the product if it has been dropped, crushed, punctured, or otherwise damaged.
c. Do not attempt to alter the product or connect accessories not provided or approved by Kindred Keeps Co.
d. Discontinue use immediately if the product malfunctions, produces unusual sounds or smells, or becomes excessively hot.

5. CLEANING AND STORAGE

a. Unplug the product before cleaning.
b. Clean with a dry, lint-free cloth only. Do not use water, solvents, or cleaning sprays.
c. Store the product in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, extreme heat, or freezing temperatures.
d. Do not store the product while it is charging or immediately after use if it feels warm.

6. BATTERY AND FIRE SAFETY

a. The Kindred Orb contains a rechargeable lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery. Do not short-circuit, puncture, crush, or incinerate the product or its battery.
b. Do not expose the battery or product to temperatures above 60°C (140°F).
c. Do not dispose of the product or battery in household trash. Follow local regulations for electronic or battery recycling.
d. If the product or battery appears damaged, discontinue use immediately and contact support@kindredkeepsco.com.

7. DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY DISCLAIMER

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindred Keeps Co LLC shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, or serious bodily harm resulting from the use or misuse of our products, including but not limited to improper charging, placement near flammable materials, operation contrary to instructions, or unauthorized modification. By purchasing and using our products, you acknowledge that all electronic devices carry inherent risks and that safe operation is solely your responsibility. You agree to assume all such risks and to release and hold harmless Kindred Keeps Co LLC, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any claims or damages, including those involving death or serious injury, arising from your use of the product.

8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By purchasing, owning, or using any Kindred Keeps Co product, you acknowledge that all electronic devices carry inherent risks, including the potential for overheating, electrical malfunction, or battery failure. You agree to use the product in accordance with this Safety & Use Notice and assume all risks associated with misuse or failure to follow these guidelines.

Failure to follow these instructions may result in property damage, personal injury, death, or denial of warranty coverage, refund, or replacement eligibility under our policies.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kindred Keeps Co LLC shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or misuse of our products. This includes, without limitation, damage to property, fire, personal injury, death, or loss of data. Our total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product.

10. AGREEMENT

By accessing, purchasing, or using our products, you agree to be bound by this Safety & Use Notice, our Terms of Service, Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy. Continued use of our products constitutes your acceptance of all current and future versions of these policies.
